Default What's on your Christmas list?

It's that time of year! What do you have on your Christmas lists this year? I actually didn't know what to put on mine (gasp!). But in the end I put a jacket, a pair of shoes, a book and a couple of dvds on the list.

    Happy Holidays!

DH and I treated ourselves early. I wanted a new set of dishes and I wanted them early so I could use them at Thanksgiving. DH wanted a kindle and since I got my gift early he got his early too.

I seriously don't want anything for Christmas. I've been trying to convince my family to go with a sentimental, no gifts Christmas. They're not going for it, so I suggested gifts for just the kids. Still not going for it. Last year, we all exchanged gift cards. What fun is that?

I'm really tired of all the commercialism and this year is such a hard year for so many people. I don't want to sound all Pollyanna here, but really, I don't need anything. I can buy the things I want or really need on my own.

I just googled it (kindle) and from what I can gather it is an electronic device that you can down-load Amazon books and read 'em..I guess kind of like the i-pod of books (maybe?)

I'm hoping for either an Ipod touch or a new camera (the Nikon D60 looks real nice).

I'm asking for a smooth and quick flight north on Christmas morning, hopefully arriving a little early, so we can see our g'kids.

That's right - we're going AWAY FROM WDW for Christmas!

I'd like on of those thingy-ma-bobs that convert old records to MP3s. I just saw them advertised and I have a bunch of old records I'd like to convert (yeah, I'm old).

Pretty much. DH is hooked. It connects to the internet so he can look up words in an online dictionary or look up pop culture phrases on wikipedia while he reads. DH is an avid reader and we were running out of shelf space at home. They have lots of books available for $10 or less so it's pretty affordable. The only drawback is not being able to pass the books along to me. Guess I may need to get a Kindle too.

I'm with you. DH's family does the gift card exchange and it just seems so silly. Why bother? Why not just keep your own $25 and be done with it? I would much rather see gifts just for the kids.

I would love to have a stress free christmas. I don't see that happening though oh well maybe next year. But seriously my DH asked the other day what I wanted and I can't think of anything except for both of my boys to have a magical christmas where their little faces just light up from seeing what Santa brought them.

Well, this is a little heavy, but I only want one thing for Christmas....

DH was diagnosed with MS on 10/26/08 (yep, the day after we got home from WDW). He had numbness all over his body, and we didn't know why. He was responding well to treatment, but on Thanksgiving he had another exacerbation, and is on more Prednisone to treat it. I just want him healthy and feeling great again on Christmas. It would be the greatest gift I could get!

Oh, and if someone wants to pay all of the hospital bills that my insurance company doesn't want to, that would be great, too!!

Speaking honestly, I pretty much buy things for myself throughout the year whenever the urge strikes me, so for me Christmas is all about spoiling DW, DD, and DS. I don't really ask for anything special at Christmastime. Just some clothes maybe and I always just get cash from my family.

I know people will think I'm a fraud, but truthfully, at this time of the year, the giving is far more important to me than the getting. I'd be perfectly happy with nothing as long as I can give my family an extra-special Christmas!

    Thanks.

Luckily there is no pain, except for a tight right calf muscle. His problems are mostly skin numbness and a problem with his balance/gait. It is improving, though, so we are staying positive. I notice his walking is looking better each day.

Dh and I got our presents early. We combined our birthday, mother's day/father's day and Christmas gifts into one gift for each of us. Dh got a new TV and I got a Sony a200 DSL camera with extra lens and extra battery to take to WDW with me in Feb!

We don't usually do big gifts for each other for any occasion, but we figured it would be ok this year.

Like Ian, I just want to see the looks on the faces of my children when they see their gifts. No gift is better that.
