I can only imagine how hard this can be on your little guy. My son has severe Asthma and that leaves him open to getting pnemonia which unfortunatley he seems to get every year. As a side note, is there a website or thread here somewhere that details a little bit more his diagnosis and whatnot? I don't want to pry and I realize it really is none of my business, I'm just curious!

You are not prying and I never mind talking about my son. When Hayden was a little more than 1 yr old he was diagnosed with a rare neurological degenerative disease called Krabbe. It only affects 1 out of 250,000 children. To put that in perspective he was born in 2006 out of all the babies born in North Carolina in 2006 he was the only one to be diagnosed with this disease. Basically the disease attacks the peripheal nervous system, his motor skills inparticular and is usually fatal by the age of 2. At the time he was diagnosed they gave us a prognosis of 6-9 months. Well Hayden just celebrated his 2yr and 9mth birthday at Epcot on October 10! So he has blown the doctor's orginal expectations by a year and one month. And we have been fortunate enough to celebrate four of his birthdays in Disney World which he loves (especially meeting Mickey. He was the third face he ever recognized) Since he was diagnosed I have had to ask for pixie dust I think three times and every time it has worked wonders and we are expecting nothing less this time. Eva and I are already astounded by the responses we have gotten in just the couple of days this thread has been up. Thank you all so much and I will keep you informed.
