    Default New Years Eve

We will be spending our new years eve this year in disneyland. Are there any special events, fireworks, or dinner shows that you would recommend?

Last year there was a special New Years event at DCA (I can't remember the details) ... I am sure there will be info out about it by November.

Other than that I am not sure what type of dinner shows you would be looking for ... just regular events with a party at DCA ... it had mixed reviews but there was a NYE countdown. I do know it's very busy, so if you want to eat in the park at a table service location, book your PS reservation early.

I am curious on what the crowd levels will be like on Dec 31 and Jan 01...Will it likely be a day that they close the gates? Also do the crowds drop significantly after Jan 01 or is it a gradual decline?

New Years Eve is the busiest day of the year.
The gate will be closed at least some part of the day and the
crowds will remain thru the following weekend.

There is an extended fireworks show at midnight in addition to the
    daily show at 9:25 pm.
