    Default Old HM souvenirs

I just remembered these very old souvenirs I got during our first visit to WDW in 1971.

First was these two cardboard pictures of an older man and an older woman. Uncle Jack and Aunt Suzanne they were called. They looked like your typical aunt and uncle but when you held them up to a light and then turned the lights out the images turned into glowing images of dead/un-dead ghouls.

I doubt WDW would sell anyhting like that now!

Actually Im surprised that my folks bought them for me since I was only 6 at the time

The other souvenir was a picture book that came with a 45 record. It was sort of a story of a trip thru the haunted mansion. You followed the narration on the 45 by looking at the drawings in the book

    anyone else remember these?

Now that you mention it.....I do remember having something that changed from a person to a ghost. Maybe it was a post card?

Do you still have them? If so, you should take good care of them. I think those souvenirs would be valuable to collectors of Disney memorabilia.

I guess they were post card sized or there abouts.

And no I do not have them anymore.

No idea what happened to them. That was 37 years and about 7 houses ago. LOL

I had the 45 LP record, too! I remember getting a collection of them in 1970 (I was in kindergarten). Sadly I don't have them anymore, and I only remember the HM record and I believe maybe Fantasia. I remember playing the records over and over, following along with the books. Thanks for the memory..
