Magic Kingdom EVENING Meet - August 13

Hey all...

Many have raised interest in meeting at Magic Kingdom on the evening of August 13th. Well you've come to the right place. Here's what we got tentatively:

8:30pm - Meet at Liberty Tree (in Liberty Square) for SPECTROMAGIC MEET
9:45ish - Walk to a good location for WISHES MEET
10:20ish - Off to Fantasyland after Wishes to get a last 40 minutes in of Peter Pan/Small World/Philharmagic/Snow White/Dumbo/Carousel/and of course, Pooh.

These plans are 100% not 100%, so add in comments, suggestions, and even complaints...I can take it!

Looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible!

The parade is about 27 minutes long, and EVERYONE tends to move back into the park.

But, it's your meet so you're the playmaster!

It's just as the first Spectro ends, a lot of people start to either move inside the park towards the Castle for Wishes, or move out of the park to avoid the post-fireworks crowds.

So trying to move a large group of people would be tricky. Not impossible, but tricky.

Anywhere on Main Street is good for the parade and fireworks, really. My suggestion would be somewhere between Center Street and Casey's but we can watch both from the second floor of train station maybe?

I'll say probably. We actually like to watch Spectro from Liberty Square, just where it makes the bend at the stocks. You are so close to the floats there. We've also watched from the porches along the street.

BTW, there are 4 of us - me, DH, and 2 DD's, the oldest of whom is also an Intercot member - Pixiepower330.

We have done the train station, it was nice, but I wasn't as close as I prefer.

I also vote for option 2, mostly because I think we'd have to get to the train station well before 8:30 to actually stake out spots to see the parade. People start lining up in there 2 - 3 hrs in advance when they can. Just be sure that if we choose Liberty Square, we pick an exact spot to meet so we don't miss each other.

sounds good to me. In terms of an EXACT spot in Liberty Square, Kathy do you have one? I can think of like right BEFORE the bridge or right ON the bridge. Either way, it should work.

Looking forward to meeting! Let's make final details no later than this Thursday, so we can exhange cell phones etc before the weekend (and we start packing to leave!)

We've watched from that little section just beyond the bridge where Sleepy Hollow (they have funnel cakes and soft serve), the Hall of Presidents, Liberty Square Market, and the Liberty Tree are located - usually down by the Liberty Tree. We just have to watch that area because there's a smoking area right across from Sleepy Hollow. We've also watched from further down towards Frontierland on the porch benches which puts you slightly above the crowd but further back from the floats. Do they allow you to stand on the bridge? I've never paid attention before. Since it's a narrow bridge, I'm not sure. Anyway, we do have to decide before Friday or I won't know what's going on as we leave Friday evening!!! Greg, I'll PM you with my cell - Kris already has it and Jessica's.

I'm a maybe for the 15th at Epcot, put me down for maybe on the 13th also. I'd really love to meet you all, it's just I'll have 3 newbies with me and I'm not sure how things will go. I promise I will try my best.
