Fantasmic going to 2 nights a week

My DH came home saying he read that starting in January, Fastasmic was going to go to 2 nights a week. Said the source he read quoted Disney as saying "other activities will be going on".

Has anyone else read this and what are the other activities? Or is it a way to cut back in a slower period of time?

From what I read earlier and in other posts, apparently there is going to be an American Idol nighttime show the other nights.
