    Default Grand Opening for DL??

    Hi,
We arre taking the kids for their first "real visit" to Disney Land.
We went to WDW a few years ago and were there for the train comming in the station and a full intro.
Does DL have a big into to goto and if so, when and where would be the best place to see it.
We are going on 5/15- 5/17

The Grand Opening at DL is not as extensive as the one at WDW.

They basically make an announcement on Main Street that welcomes everyone, and they remind everyone to walk to thier destination, and then they play some of the music from the afternoon parade. It's really not much. I'd not make it a point to hear it. What they do at DL is let you in the turnstiles about 15 min prior to park opening on NON early entry days (on early entry days, non hotel guests are lined up at the turnstiles). Everyone is held at the midpoint of Main Street until official opening time.

You can only hear this announcement on Main Street, or in front of the turnstiles.

Honestly, it's not that cool. The train is usually already in the station, just waiting, several minutes prior to park opening.
