Default Has Illuminations changed since 2000?

My wife and I last visited in 2000 and we were both completely blown away by Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. The Tapestry of Nations parade leading up to it with those strange drum vehicles and wild, tall puppets added to the experience.

But it was the incredibly moving music that brought it all together. The music during the parade was fantastic, but during Illuminations it was even better with the orchestral finale and amazing fireworks and other special effects.

We immediately bought the Millennium Soundtrack, which thankfully contains both tracks. Does Illuminations still use that soundtrack?

Yes, Illuminations is basically the same and still uses that music. The parade is gone, alas.

The music from the parade is used as background music after Illuminations is over and the park is closing. If you hang around while the crowds head for the exits, you'll get to hear it.
