Is it OK to post links to pictures?

I know there are rules about posting links to other websites, but I see people posting links to pictures on Webshots. Is this acceptable? I use a different pic hosting site (Auctiva). Can I post links to pics (family friendly, of course) there without getting in trouble with the Intercot powers that be?

Generally, this is only permitted in the Trip Reports forum as a means of enhancing a Trip report.

Other uses will be determined by the Moderators of the forum on a case by case basis.

If not Trip Reports, feel free to contact the Moderators of the forum you are interested in posting the link in to discuss it further.
