Pirate Princess Party vs. Event for May

Was it intentional to list Pirate and Princess Event in May instead of Party as it is listed in previous months? Is there a difference?

I don't believe there is a difference. That's the way it was listed on the calendar we receive from Disney.

Where did you see this posted? I've been searching for confirmation on May P&PP. I'm making plans for it for our early May trip, but I also have a plan incase there is no party.
