Default What to expect on our first DVC tour???

This is a question for any of you who have been on the DVC tour at WDW. We have one planned for next week. What should we expect? I was told on the phone that it should only take about 3o minutes but that doesn't seem like enough time to see or hear much. Any info would be great!!

We took the tour about 3 weeks ago & it lasted about an hour. If you have small children, they have a kids club that you can put them in free of charge while you are on the tour. Afterwards there is ice cream available for everyone & a family photo. We also got fastpasses to use in the parks. They will pick you up in the DVC van right from your resort & bring you back when you are finished.

We ended up purchasing while on our vacation. They were offering an $8 credit for AKV & $10 credit for Saratoga or developer points. There was also a 500 disney rewards offer if you used your disney visa for the downpayment. Lastly, we bought AKV and we got 2007 points w/ no 2007 dues if we agreed not to travel until after January 2008.

Crazykids is right on. Should only take 45-60 minutes. Really depends on the number of questions you have and how long you want to stroll around the open house rooms!

The other posters are correct regarding the length of the tour.

The other thing you can expect is a low pressure tour and sales pitch. Disney doesn't operate the same way that many timeshare companies do in terms of pressure to buy.

We just got back and had a tour. Ours took almost 90 minutes. My DS8 enjoyed the kids club and played video games. We enjoyed and liked what we saw. The fastpasses are great!
I'm not bad - I'm just drawn that way!

Next Trip? Not sure but always planning!!

Ours took 3 hours because we bought in and completed the process all at that time. The tour itself included 1) Personal discussion with the guide in a comfortable living room like setting, 2) Tours of the rooms at Saratoga Springs, 3) A short video and a map room of the worldwide locations to choose from. Probably took us a little over an hour for all that. The preparation of the paperwork and credit check, etc. took a little more time and was done in an office like setting.
