    Default Cabin prices?

I have heard that the cabin prices are comparable to prices of the deluxe hotels. Can anyone please give me an idea of whether this is true or not? Thanks!

They are comparable to the deluxes in price.

    Fort Wilderness Cabins = $249, $289, $329, & $369
The different rates reflect different seasons. Remember, though, in 2008, rooms will be priced per night.

Faline, can you explain what this pricing will be?

Cabins definitely worth the pricing! Like your own little home with full sized kitchen and 2 bedrooms (with the Murphy bed) and 2 TVs! We just returned Saturday last week. With 3 children we literally were so thankful we booked the cabin!!! So peaceful and quiet! Really nice to have mom and dad space and for kids to have their own. Lots of room to store snacks, and nice deck for putting out wet water shoes and bathing suits! If it were cooler we would of sat out there a lot too I think! Thought it was well worth it!!!!

Default Number of TVs in Cabins?

The last time we stayed in a cabin at FW, there was one TV in the living area. Have they added a second TV in the bedroom? If so, did they also add an additional DVD/VCR?

    Thanks!

There was a TV in the bedroom and in the living room - DVD/VCR in living room but not in bedroom, just a TV there.

For example, if I want to stay in a cabin for 2 weeks beginning on February 7, 2008, my pricing looks like this:

    Date Rate per Night
    Thu, Feb 07 - Wed, Feb 13 $ 255.00
    Thu, Feb 14 $ 340.00
    Fri, Feb 15 - Sun, Feb 17 $ 360.00
    Mon, Feb 18 - Wed, Feb 20 $ 340.00
You can see that I would start off by paying $255.00 per night but that would jump as we went toward Presidents' Day weekend, topping out at $360.00 per night during the weekend.

Disney will no longer provide you with the rate you get at check-in for the length of your stay.

My understanding is that the per night pricing system doesn't start until 2008.

IF I could get it at $184 a night then I'd consider it. but I just checked in to renting one the other day vs a moderate (POR) and the difference was about $900 more than POR. Yes you have the ability to cook, bigger place to spread out, but how much time are you planning to be in the cabin. For us that $900 is what we spent in eating out and didn't have to worry with buying cooking or cleaning up.

Cabins would be ok, and like KATZCTKPT said the money saved by staying at a moderate could go a long way into buying food with ZERO mess to clean up.....I like camping, but when I'm at Disney I want to be taken care of....that's what they do best, right.....

Only the price compares to the Deluxe Hotels.
We have stayed in the cabins and were very disappointed in the pool area especially. The Murphy bed is not comfortable for adults.

I have to say that the last time I went to Disney we stayed in the cabins and we LOVED them!! Next time I go I will be staying there again. It's nice to get up and make a pot of coffee and have breakfast while everyone gets ready. We cooked meals in the cabin. We did eat at some restaurants but we saved alot of money cooking too. We rented a golf cart to get around. I cannot wait to go again and stay there. I slept in the murphy bed last time and probably this time too... Not bad. Wasn't uncomfortable.

I cannot wait to get back there!!!!
