Little Rant/Does Anyone Know: AAA deluxe discount for Jan 2008?
My AAA rep hasn't gotten back to me about AAA room discounts for the GF and Poly for early January, even after calling and e-mailing (or for the total cost of the package, for that matter).
When I called the AAA travel hotline, the rep who answered told me they weren't sure what to say me, but they guessed hotel discounts were "usually around 10%, maybe more", and that I'd need to speak to a AAA Disney specialist for complete info. He then asked me if I had spoken to the rep I was initially trying to contact.
I'm not trying to be pushy, and I know things get busy for people, but I was thinking, don't they have more than one person working on Disney vacations for my region? Don't they have this info in a computer somewhere? I know I don't need the info right away, but my DH and I would like to have some hard numbers so we can adjust our yearly budget for other things.
I was reading the posts about the new packages, and I noticed that a rep from MJ had responded to questions as soon as the packages were released. Maybe next time, I'll try them.
Anyhow, thanks for reading my rant. Any info would be helpful.

Why wait? Try MJ now. They can get your AAA rates as well as any other possible discounts.

I agree. My family has had AAA for 30+ years and I've had AAA since I was 16 and while I think they are good to have, I wouldn't use them for a Disney travel package. I would buy 1 day discount tickets from them, but that's about it. I've heard so many horror stories about AAA and so many good things about MJ that when I start planning my big GF 09/09 trip I'm going with MJ.
It sounds like you've already gone through so many headaches, I think I would've reached my "give up" point with AAA by now!

We had a hard time going through AAA for our Disney honeymoon seventeen years ago, and I know things have changed since then, but I would never go back to them for a Disney vacation. Since MJ can get the AAA discount for you(if you have AAA), or a better deal if one comes up, I would go through them if using a travel agent for Disney.
