    Default Sit-Down at MGM?

Is there a sit-down resutaurant at MGN that's worth using a TS credit for? If so - where and why?

Hollywood Brown Derby. We always eat a meal there. I think you actually have to use two DDP credits (we did last year, anyway), but it's FANTASTIC. Great menus and amazing desserts. I'd also advise combining it w/ the Fantasmic Dinner Pkg for great seating at the show after dinner.

I would say either 50's prime time cafe for the ambiance or hollywood and vine for the food. hollywood and vine has a really good prime rib!

Both 50's Prime Time and Sci-Fi are well worth 1 Credit. I think 50's has better food but Sci-Fi beats them on atmosphere. It really depends on whether you prefer interaction or atmosphere?? If you like interaction, the go to Prime Time. Make sure you ask for a waiter that will play. If not then go for Sci-Fi.

We've eaten at Hollywood and Vine the past 3 years because of it's "Buffet Style" menu. However the quality has seemed to diminish each year to the point, we are going to take a break from going there and try either 50's Prime Time or Mama Melrose on our next trip there in Dec. I would vote for one of those 2.

I'd vote for Mama Melrose as well. We have made this an every year place (lunch). By the way, there are 3 hidden Mickey's in the entrance if you can find them.

50's Prime Time has good food usually, but the service has been going downhill the past couple of years.

We opted to try Hollywood and Vine last year and unfortunately it was worse. If we need to have a TS at MGM, it'll be at 50's I guess.

Any desire to head over to YC/BC or even the Boardwalk?

Another vote for Mama Melrose - we've been going there since 2001 and have always received the best in service and food. Sci-Fi is also a fun TS choice!

Brown Derby... food is fantastic, and so is the atmosphere. If you go with the Fantasmic Package, it is worth the 2 TS credits.

I did some research on the Fantasmic Package using the DDP and it looks like it's not as good of a deal as if you were to use it on another day. Am I correct?
It looks like you have no choice of appetizer or dessert - and your whole party shares the flatbread and salad - is this true as well?

The 50's Prime Time Cafe is one of my most favorite places in all of WDW! The food is excellent if you like home style cooking, which I certainly do! Also, the wait staff is incredible! All the "cousins" telling you to keep your elbows off the table, take off your hat, eat your green beans, etc. is a riot! It is just a wonderful place and I love it!
