what to expect in May?

We are traveling with our 2 DD's who will be just turned 2 and almost 4 in mid May. Can you tell me what to expect as far as weather, crowds etc? TIA!

The weather will be nice, chilly at night once the sun goes down. Crowds will be low Monday-Thursday and busy during the weekend. The end of may starts getting busy as the summer high season begins, and with the new ride in DCA scheduled for next year, it's bound to start getting busy earlier.

Early may is awesome, but as always weekends are busy.

I went in May last year (the week after Mother's Day) and it was awesome! Such pleasant weather (like Michael described) and decent crowds. Great time of year to go.
