I read on another site that people without wristbands were able to stay in the park to watch the shows & fireworks & even allowed to go trick or treating but were not allowed to go on the rides. Has anyone who has been there in the past seen this & able to confirm? Why do we spend all the extra money for a hard ticket event if those without passes can stay too? Even if asked to leave they still continue on. What is WDW doing to guarentee that only hard ticket holders are the only ones in the park after 7pm?

from what i understand they set up cms at the entrance of each land and only let you in if you have a wrist band, and at some point they start to escort people without the bands out of the park

I don't think they are "allowed" to be in the park. I have on a few occassions witnessed people being asked to leave since they did not have a wristband. I think that would be extremely humiliating being caught. Hiding and ducking from the CM's and some of the times these people had kids, what an example! Unless something has changed since last year I do not believe that is true. Since the park has been operating all day before the party I can guess it's hard to make sure that everyone has left that is not suppossed to be there. I think if these cheapskates are caught Disney should deduct 1 day from their ticket to cover the party and still be escorted out so the paying guests can enjoy. Maybe that would insure everyone leaves when they were supposed to.

With the exception of Main Street the park "closes" early to allow CMs to usher out all guests. Those with the wristbands staying for the party are then allowed back in later, but no staying to watch or participate without the wristband. Honestly, if they allowed people to stay for the shows/parades, etc they would be dumb. That's 95% of the party. The rides you can ride any time and they aren't all that much less crowded. The point of the party, and why it's worth the extra money, is the stuff you can't do during "normal' hours.

They are not allowed to stay in the pak after hours. We have Cms standing at the entrances to the lands starting around 6 and by 7 we start making sure everyone has wistbands and if they don't we let them know we are closed. Also with the trick or treating and the rides we check wristbands as they get into those lines as well. Some might have sneaked by but it doesn't last long before they are caught.

actually the people staying for the party are supposed to stay in the back of the park near splash mountain and once the park is cleared out they check wristbands again to make sure everyone is out.

This was our experience last Halloween. There are CM's stationed all over checking wristbands between 6 and 7. Walking from Tomorrowland to Fantasyland they actually had a rope up with 2 CM's there asking. If someone didn't have a wristband they were told the park was closing. Mostly all the trick or treating CM's looked before giving out candy too.

Enjoy the party!! Its a blast!

I saw a ton of CM's checking wrist bands. I didn't see anyone being asked to leave, then again I didn't notice anyone without a wrist band.
