    Looks great!

I love it! I can now put it next to our OLD pictures of when it looked like this before.

    What a great picture!

    You're welcome.

One thing that you don't see in the picture is, the dozens of grey rods that used to hold the stars are still up there. The photopass person that took the picture and I both wondered if they were going to take off the rods, or just leave them. They're noticable, but only if you're looking (ie, if you are an Intercot-er).

Somebody said on another site that those actually get taken down from inside SSE, so no crane is necessary for them. They probably just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I can't wait to see SSE in person in a few weeks, see it resored to its glorious majesty!

the grey rods that used to hold the stars will be removed from the inside of SSE so there will be no more ugly crane in your pics from now on unless they are cleaning.

wow that is crazy to watch. Its all twisted and mangled parts of the wand. I can't believe the way it looks. Also they just left it there in the back of the parking lot you would think they would take that away.

Sorry, but I couldn't help laughing at your typo. That is 95% scrap (i.e. Iron ORE) and it will not be going to a landfill.

    Cool

I have to say, in my opinion, it looks like something is missing, it looks kind of barren.

The pictures make me think they are OLD pictures of Spaceship Earth.

    But I'll adjust.

I thought the same exact thing when I watched it. Almost felt a little eerie.

I was fully prepared to have no real strong feelings one way or another. But when I saw it this past week without the wand...I am in LOVE with the original Spaceship Earth. Those who commented that the wand made it look smaller were SPOT ON. It looked so much larger and more majestic without the wand. I loved it and am thrilled to be able to have seen it in its pristine condition once more!

I am so glad that awful wand has gone and can't wait to see Spaceship Earth back in all it's pristine glory next month. Pity I will have to wait till next year to rise the inside again!

This is true tragedy. It makes me angry that something I loved is tossed. I would love to get just one piece of that wand to have. I thought Iger coming in would be great. Well, this isn't the first time I've been wrong. Bring back Eisner.

Spaceship looks sooooo much better now! I really couldn't stand that wand.

I'm surprised at just how attached people were to it! It's not like they tore down the entire geosphere! Or the castle!

And I'm not surprised that it was scrapped. I mean it really was pretty worthless for use on anything else.

Now if they just move the Leave a Legacy monoliths to a new location and bring back the gardens that used to be at the entrance, we'd be in business!

Only if they rip up the bricks at MK. For those of us who paid for it, we would prefer they stay put.

That's the arguement and thats where they will stay for awhile. I think that there is a contract or something where it said that they will be there for the next 25 years or something like that. Probably wrong, but I doubt they are going anywhere soon.

I think they should move the Leave a Legacy stones to a different location. Not get rid of them completely, just move them. Since they're no longer being sold, get rid of the ones that don't have any pictures (or whatever they're called) on them. No sense in letting empty ones set there.
