Park Opening Procedures

Will be in DL 6/30-7/4. Can anyone tell what I can expect for the park opening? Will they let us into DL Park before the scheduled 8am opening or are they more likely to hold us outside the turnstiles until 8am? How about at CA? Is there any sought of song and dance opening? I know they do this at WDW. Thanks.

Disneyland Park has Early Entry days on Saturday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. For those days, Early Entry guests are allowed into the park at 7:00am. The rest of the guests are let in at 8:00am. On non-Early Entry days, they open Main Street USA at 7:30am and do the rope-drop at 8:00am. There is no show - just an announcement and music.

For California Adventure, if you are a guest of the Disney hotels, you can enter the park at 9:30am and ride Soarin' (this is at the entrance from the Grand Californian Hotel). All other guests are allowed in at park opening time (10:00am).
