Water Shoes on Water Slides?

I have these slip on water shoes with mesh on top for wearing in the water. Years ago I was allowed to wear them on slides at a local water park, but now they have me take them off and hold them while I slide. Does anyone know if water shoes are allowed to be worn on the slides at Disney's water parks? Thanks.

I depends on the slide. At Typhoon Lagoon we were able to wear ours on all of the tube rides, but on the body slide we had to hold them.

Most of my group had water shoes on and I don't remember them taking them off. I wore TEVAs and I think I only had to take them off on the body slides/speed slides.

I just got back from Blizzard Beach and had mine on the whole time we were in the water park.......

Thanks so much for the info. I hate walking around with bare feet. We leave in one week! Yea!!
