We did it!

My parents and I are now the proud owners of 300 pts at SSR! I can't even tell you how happy I was when I heard my first "Welcome Home"! We decided to buy in together because that way we can use the bulk of our points for the big family vacations we take once a year and can plan out WAY in advance, and then DH and I can take the remainder and for weekend trips. We figure we'll just bank all leftover points and if DH can book a weekend within a month or two window, then great! If not we'll just keep the points banked and spring for bigger lodging (grand villa prehaps?

) the following year. The whole family is going to go down for Thanksgiving at SSR, and I can't wait to try out our new digs!

Welcome Home! You will love it! We went on our first trip home this past December and stayed in a 2-BR at Saratoga. It was me, my wife, 2 kids, father-in-law, mother-in-law, and aunt Tricia. It was incredible. I have always been a Disney-lifer, but I am even more addicted now. We went back in February (OKW) and we will be heading back in September (before our AP's expire). We will have the same crew with us in Sept, but will only stay in 2 Studios as we stretch our points out until my in-laws buy in next year.

Congratulations! I know how excited you must feel. Having just bought into DVC last month, I am still very excited!

We split up our points (210 at AKV, 65 at VWL, and 40 at BWV) to allow us to be able to book these three resorts at the 11-month window.

We just bought our DVC in April and can't wait to use it. We're going to bank our current points and use next years points for a 3br Grand Villa next year for us, sister's family, & SIL's family. Can't wait!!!
