Default If you absolutely haaad to eat CS at MGM...

what would you choose? We will be there for morning EMH on July 15, and will need to use a CS credit on our DDP to eat. I know not much is really exceptional at MGM, but which is the best?

We were there in January and ate at the ABC Commisionary for breakfast and lunch. I thought that was pretty good. There's fish, chinese, burgers. A little bit more of a variety there. Also, I like Backlot Express. Burgers, chicken and salads there. Those would be my picks.

We really liked the burgers at the Backlot - that would be my pick.

Just don't eat the burgers by RnR or ToT. I regretted swallowing them. I would convince myself I could afford to lose weight before eating there again. My kids didn't like the pizzas at Toy Story Pizza but I did. ABC Commissary would get my vote or a quick trip back to the resort. Esp. in summer for a quick dip and a better lunch

I like the Backlot Express very well! Also, Pizza Planet is not bad. Especially if you have DKs who like the movie.

ummm - do you have kids?! the best place with kids is pizza planet... the kids run off at the arcade while u enjoy ur lunch without them. and i think its the only place on WDW property to get good pizza - yummy, my mouth is watering while i count the days till i leave!!!!!

Toy Story Pizza gets my vote. We had a bad experience with ABC Commissary. The line was horrible and the food was just ok.

BACKLOT EXPRESS!! They have a turkey sandwich on crunchy bread with roasted veggies - out of this world! A distant second choice for me would be Pizza Planet - the pizza is decent and the kids (and dads) love the video games and airconditioning!

Starring Rolls for lunch, no contest. Big, huge gourmet sandwiches and actual choices for dessert.

    For breakfast, well, there's a McDonald's nearby I think.

We just discovered Backlot Express about a year and 1/2 ago and have been pretty happy with it. For some reason we always looked at it and passed, now while it's not high on the list, it's there if we happen to be spending any time in MGM and are hungry.

Starring Rolls sounds good too, I'll have to check that out.

The ABC Comissary has some pretty good choices and a place we usually hit when eating CS at MGM. Backlot Express has a pretty good vegetable sandwich. Never had lunch at Starring Rolls, but that sounds pretty good.

Starring Rolls for breakfast or lunch is great.

Be sure to get in there early for breakfast...once it's gone, it's gone!

The Backlot Express is our choice. We've had lunch (twice) at the ABC Commissary and it's not our favorite (their Cubano was so-so). I'd be glad to try Starring Rolls, but on a trip w/out my DS-11 (who would much prefer a burger or chicken strips to a sandwich).

I've only eaten at Pizza Planet -- my kids really liked the Pizza.... In April I saw that the Commissary had an interesting menu -- curry and cuban sandwiches, but I haven't tried them. Starring Rolls has beautiful looking sandwiches, but again -- we never tried them...
