Any truth that Illuminations is scheduled to be discontinued at Epcot?

A new version of the nighttime spectacular is reportedly in the planning stages and on-track to debut no sooner than 2009.

The title of the new show is being reported as Illuminations:Skydance. Not sure when it is scheduled to open I have heard it may open as early as this fall.

I think an update to the show would be good.

I remember seeing the show for the first time in 1990 and I thought it was incredible!

I saw it again in Feb. 2007 and I wasn't as impressed. I don't know why. Perhaps it was just becuase I had seen it before and had high hopes for it.

I imagine they have changed it some in the past 16 years, but I think some revisions to come in the future would be good. I certainly hope they don't discontinue it all together.

ROE is supposed to be running until 2009.... That is what I heard anyway.... And Skydance isn't even officially mentioned as the name of the new show, when there is a new show....

I can't imagine that they would discontinue it completely. They've changed it in the past, so that's completely possible. I'd like to see another parade in Epcot as well.

When they changed the pre-show music, some of the magic was lost for us. Although the new music is mostly good, it just wasn't the same experience anymore. I hope we can make it down there again before any major changes...
