Room Makeover Fun

Thursday night I had the privilege to join HOST_Lily in a room makeover. It is a night I will never forget. And it is my pleasure to share it with you...

The setup: I was bored and messaged Lily a joke of sorts. She replied but sounded tired. So I asked if she was and she said yes but she still needed to find somebody to do a makeover for. Then asked if I knew anybody who needed one. And that was nice. (Haha! I like how she added that last part.) Well, that eliminated Midien. (Just kidding! :P) Rays was talking to me when I got that PM back. At first I thought maybe she's joking and fired off a reply that I needed one. Hah! :P Then I PM'd Rays to be ready in case she wasn't joking. Lily came in about 10 minutes later and I asked her if she found anybody yet. She said no, so I suggested Rays who happened to be afk at the moment. So Lily said, great, but she's not awake. Lol! But luckily Rays woke up in time to have a great conversation about cookies and the cookie jar, which Lily promptly asked to go see. Go figure Rays would take forever to get to her room as Lily said "Dragon, follow her!" Of course when she finally got to her room, I tried to follow only to find it locked. Nice! Lily of course has no problem getting herself a key. Lol!

The makeover: So after Rays finally unlocks the room, we get in and Lily gets down to business. (I have this captured as a video but can't seem to get stills from it and the video is too slow because of the lag. So I'll just have to describe what happened in the beginning.)

So Lily asks what Rays wants to do with the room. Cyre says, "a giant cookie" while Skate says, "Here comes cookie land. o_o LOL" and suddenly we get a room alert and PM from another staff member who we would from the on call "Big Brother".

Of course we all get a huge laugh out of that, but Lily is silent for awhile then says, "ok i'm crying i'm laughing so much" and "that was funny". Go figure, so was I. Actually, when she asked the question I had to answer the phone because it was ringing, so when I came back, I saw the alert window and figured Lily was probably booting the rest of us so they could work. When I read it, I nearly fell out of my chair. :P

So anyway, I had such a crack out of that one, that I walked my character to the front of the screen and said, "Who ever sent that message, a high ive to you!" A few seconds later (and completely unexpected), we get this:

Hilarious. :P So we start to get to work. Skate, Cyre and I go off to the corner to get out of the way and let Lily work her magic. Lily asked Rays to move all the furniture to the right side so they could start on the left. Lily asked us for an idea of what kind of carpet to use. As you can see, I started to type in "Water Rugs" but before I could finish, this spooky message came...I could swear they can read our keystrokes. That was just too eerie to be coincidence. O_o

So Lily chose to use the card rugs as she explained in the newsletter. We discovered that whenever she has to get bulk amounts of items, she has very good chances of freezing. So there were a few times when we sort of had to just sit and wait. So we began to entertain ourselves. At one point we wondered if "Big Brother" was still there. Skate (I think it was Skate), goes, "taps monitor" and sure enough...

Hahaha!!! Anyway, we continued to watch Lily build and entertain ourselves with jokes.

At some point Cyre asks if "Big Brother" knows of any jokes. And yes he/she did:

Soon after, the 10 minute warning came up and Lily opened up the room for some of the rest of our friends to join us for the closing dance. Thanks to both Lily and Rays for letting us stay in the room to watch. We did our best to stay out of the way...of course we did eat our share of cookies. :P

The result: Well, Lily ran out of time and only got "half way" through. I've heard of her running out of time before and finishing it after closing hours. But she said she'll wait until Rays gets back on again to take the picture of the finished room. So the plan was that when Rays gets on, hopefully I would be on as well and we will wait in one of my rooms for Lily and all go in together. Cyre and Skate were of course invited too.

The next day, we were supposed to wait for her, but between Rays not feeling too good, Lily forgetting what time and us being impatient, we went ahead and saw it without her. I logged off to go eat dinner but before shutting my computer down, I checked the newsletter (for some reason) and noticed Rays room already featured. So I had to log back in and tell her. I was about to sign off again to finally eat dinner and HOST_Lily pops in. She hung out for about an hour eating cookies, answering questions and having fun.

I must admit, I have never had such a fun time on VMK as I did both of these nights. I must have nearly fallen out of my chair 2 times. I was laughing non-stop and crying half the time from laughing so much. Thanks to Lily, Rays, Cyre, Skate and the mysterious "Big Brother" for making it such a blast! Good times, good times!!!

That is so cool Little. I just read lily's version of how it happened and I must say yours is much better to read. Especially with all those messages. Sounds like you had a great time.
