    Default Extra Magic Hours Question

How long generally are the parks open during the extra magic hours? Do we need a special pass & where & when do we get them. If they do give out special passes & you don't get one will you still be able to ride the rides or will they have you leave the park during these special hours? Any info would be helpfull.

How long generally are the parks open during the extra magic hours?

ONE HOUR early in the morning, THREE HOURS later in the evenings.

Do we need a special pass & where & when do we get them.
EMH is for Resort Guests only (that is, if you are staying at a Disney resort). In the mornings, you show your resort ID to get in the front gate. In the evenings, you go to the park, show your resort ID and get an arm band. There are different "stations" around each park (5 or 6 of them) where you line up for the arm bands. You can get them starting about 2 hours before official park closing and up to an hour before EMH is over.

If they do give out special passes & you don't get one will you still be able to ride the rides or will they have you leave the park during these special hours? Any info would be helpfull.

You do not have to leave the park, but you cannot ride. You can shop and eat, but not ride. Every CM will check your arm before you ride, and will gladly ask anyone to leave the cue if they do not have the arm band.
"I wanted something alive, something that could grow. Something I can keep plussing with ideas. You see? The park is that. Not only can I add things but even the trees will keep growing. The thing will get more beautiful every year."
