Found the answer myself. You have to purchase your tickets/package from AAA to get the free parking. They dont hand out the diamond fun books anymore! Bummer!

The only advantage I see is not spending money you don't have. Then you entire trip is pre-paid.

AAA has a special lot, they park you in. It used to be the Timone lot, but I had purchased my ticket from AAA and just showed them that. I heard they have a fun book you can pick up at the office....
