How efficiently have the Disney Magical Express buses been running? We will be arriving at WDW 8/28 and are wondering if we should just Uber it and let DME take our bags for us. Thanks.

We've never used DME but from what I've seen here you're now responsible for your own luggage.

DME never handled your bags for you. It was a separate outfit called Bags, Inc. and I do not believe they are working with WDW anymore.
We used DME just last month (mid-June 2021). Arrived in Orlando at about 5:30pm, retrieved our bags, and headed to DME prepared for the worst based upon the stories we had heard. To our delight, there were absolutely no people waiting in line to check in, and there was no waiting for a bus to Pop Century. We literally walked directly from check in to the bus, and were at the resort about 45 minutes later.
