Going back to WDW in August and wondering about the best snacks in the World? Other than the typical snacks, whats good that isn't usually advertised or sold in every little shop? Just wanting to try some new stuff, thanks! :mickey:

Other than the usual Dole Whip (Aloha Isle) in the MK, you may want to try a Cream Cheese filled Pretzel from The Launching Pad in Tomorrowland. Corn Dog Nuggets from Casey's Corner or how about Chili Cheese french fries at Friar's Nook? My favorite is the Main Street Bakery for an ice cream sandwich.
If you like it hot, they have the Jalapeno Cheese Pretzels in Animal Kingdom, at the Harambe Fruit Market by Kilimanjaro Safaris.
I love the funnel cakes in Epcot (American pavilion) and the wonderful bakeries tucked in the some of the Countries have the best treats.
If I'm not staying at Port Orleans, I always take the boat ride from DTD to French Quarter to have a coffee and a beignet.
The crapes in France are sooooo good. Or any thing at Kringle Bakery (probably misspelled) in Norway is fantastic.
I could not get enough of the Napoleons in France when we were there 3 weeks ago. DD wants me to call Starring Rolls and get some Butterfinger cupcakes delivered. I can't believe I can't have either until December.
I had a delicious jalepeno cheese filled pretzel from a little cart in Animal Kingdom last trip...I looked for these in MK but didn't see them anywhere so I guess they are special to AK
The Frozen Cappucino at Main St Bakery is awesome like a coffee milkshake :tasty:
Cream Cheese and Jalepeno chese filled pretzels.
Anything from the Bakery at Norway washed down with a Viking Coffee!
At AKL Zebra Domes :tasty:
The Cinnamon glazed almonds and Pecans at AK, DHS, and MK!
I absolutely love the Haystacks from a little bakery somewhere in MK. It is not the main bakery but much further along not far from the shooting gallery. I will hopefully be feasting on one in approx 28 days. :mickey:
We always frequent the shooting gallery! One time we were lucky enough to have it all to ourselves!! So, what is a haystack?? Sounds yummy! :cloud9:
Try a carrot cake cookie at the Writers Stop in The Studios. I love, love, love these things - but make sure you have someone to share it with. It is BIG and very sweet!
I tried the School Bread in Norway for the first time this last trip and absolutely fell in love. Went back on two separate occasions to get more! My boyfriend also tried a few of the other pastries at Kringla Og in Norway and I had a bite of them, they were very good, but other than the Cappucino cake I have no idea what they were.
Anything from the caramel shop in Germany. Even my DH who doesn't like caramel corn was blown away!
My fellow Intercotees introduced us to Goofy's Candy Company at DTD a few years back and the yummy "made to order" snacks they have at the shop - our favorite is the marshmallow sticks! Although we were disappointed to find out last trip that you are now limited on how many selections you can make (that's okay - we pulled it together somehow!) lol :mickey:
I love the chocolate mousse from the French bakery in Epcot. I have been dreaming of it, and can't wait for my next one in 27 days!
Funnel cakes from the Sleepy Hollow shop near the bridge going to Liberty Square at the MK.
Cinnamon Funnel Cake
Strawberry Funnel Cake
Powdered Sugar Funnel Cake
I can personally attest to each of these as being fantastic. Also, at Christmas time, they serve a Gingerbread Funnel Cake with Peppermint Ice Cream on it that is worth a trip to Florida all in itself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup:
I'm not sure if you can purchase these with snack credits, but have you checked out the big store with the pick-a-pearl in Japan in Epcot? They have a lot of snacks in there that are exclusive only to Japan and some of them are quite different. I recommend the chocolate filled bears. They are soooooo good.
We always make sure we grab a can of Ucc coffee in Japan. It is cold coffee with milk and sugar and it is delicious. Also in Japan we always buy a bag of candied baby crabs. They are tiny little freeze dried crabs that have a sweet coating on them. They are truely terrible but we always get them and eat about 2 each just to remember how bad they are. They are definitely something to try once.
I so wanted to like the School Bread, but the shaved coconut was a no-no for me. :( :ack:
We used to get these when we lived in Japan. One of my older son's favorites!
I love the fruit tarts you can get at Starring Rolls in DHS, and I've seen them a few other places as well. So good! :tasty:
Something not mentioned is the Cloudberry Horn at the Kringla Bakery. I tried this from a recommendation I got here on Intercot & it was delicious. Not overly sweet at all which is the problem with many desserts & treats.
The Butterfinger Cheesecake from Sunshine Seasons is one of my favorites in WDW.
Anything else I can think of has already been mentioned
