Changes Coming to Epic Universe???

It is no secret. Epcit Universe construction had been delayed due to Covid... Well, things are starting to ramp back up again, and with that, changes are coming to the theme park...

Universal, and the original press conference to announce the park, never did inform us what was coming inside the park... However, some guessing, some research, and we have been able to piece together the park IP and locations...

With that, things have apparently changed.... While many of the IPs are staying the same, and attractions are staying the same, kind of (more about that later), there seems to be an IP that was not on the radar at first...

Illumination... Universal's own animated studio... Minions, Secret Life of Pets, Sing, and Despicable Me are some of the most popular properties to come out of Illumination... So, is a land based on Illumination properties coming into one of the expansion areas for park opening??? And if so, would it be one property or several??? Minion Mayhem is already in Universal Studios Orlando... And Hollywood recently opened a Secret Life of Pets attraction (but the ride system is similar to Yoshi's which is coming to Epic Universal in Nintendo Land)... Sign also as a presence in I believe Japan with a Sing show... Hollywood also has Super Silly Fun Land based off the Minions... Could any one of these be coming???

One of the lands known to be coming to Epic Universe is a land based on Universal's Classic Monsters... No real details exist about the kind of attractions coming, though it is rumored to be a dark ride of some sort through Dracula's Castle, maybe involving Van Helsing.... Also rumored was a show of some sort... Well, it appears the show has been put on hold, not cancelled, just delayed...

Track pieces has already arrived on site as well... The track pieces are a light green in color... Which match perfectly with the track colors at Yoshi's ride in Japan... It is also believed that many of the props, set pieces and land pieces are already made and completed and sitting in a warehouse waiting for construction to begin... Expect Nintendoland to be the first last we see go vertical, and possibly the first land completed...

The team member parking lot has already been laid down and completed... This parking lot will be used right now for construction storage and vehicles... When the park is complete, possibly 2025 now, this lot will be where the employees will park... Further, sheds and offices are being constructed now, as work begins to again and things ramp up...

And finally....

Wizarding World of Harry Potter... Yes, a 3rd land will be a feature here in Epic Universe... Did you expect Universal NOT to milk their cash cow??? Come on now....

This land was rumored to be themed to Fantastic Beasts.... Some of the conceptual art had revealed NYC and Paris as being the locations... No real info on the attractions, except, one would have need virtual reality and flying brooms would be your ride vehicles.... The VR would work in a way where guests would wear goggle or a helmet after climbing onto your broom, and you would be flying through the world of Harry Potter... This would have been one huge ride and rumored to NOT be the anchor attraction to the land...

Well, now it seems this ride will not be part of Epic Universe at all... The ride is now rumored to be moving to Diagon Alley, involve the Ministry of Magic, be themed around the Ministry of Magic, but still feature VR and a broom ride vehicle...

So this leaves a huge space open in the 3rd Wizarding World land...

Plans are changing... Things are coming together... Exciting times for Universal Studios in the next few years...

Good stuff. Will be interesting to see what exactly develops over the coming months and years...

I’m working on the Hogswart Express train right now hoping to transfer to the Fantastic Beasts area as a lead when it opens.

This all sounds great. I just hope they think far ahead enough to accommodate Pooh sized people on all these rides.

Yea Universal seems to have a bit of an issue understanding some of their guests are on the plus size... Whereas Disney takes that into consideration from the start...
