Main Street sidewalks off limits

Wondering if anyone noticed the ropes and cast member telling folks to get off the sidewalks unless you’re going into a store. I realize the whole resort is a cattle chute at this point but telling people they can’t even walk on the sidewalks anymore unless they want to buy something? Something’s gotta give.

Ian from our podcast suggested: Maybe it's a special merchandise event for the 50th ... they do that for that kind of stuff sometimes

I don’t think it was. It was Friday around 7pm, and it was just one cast member at the far end of the sidewalk with one rope in front of her as she told people not to walk on the sidewalk unless they wanted to go into the stores. It didn’t look like it was having any effect.
