It's nice that the Castle is getting decorated. The MK has been under-decorated compared to Disneyland.
But I kind of wish they would spend the money on bringing back the "Country Bear Christmas Special" instead.

"A Castle Christmas
6/25/07 It has been internally announced that Cinderella Castle will be receiving a Christmas Overlay for the 2007 Holiday Season. The overlay is scheduled to be complete November 15th, 2007. The addition of the overlay will require the use of a crane near the Castle September 12th through November 14th, 2007. As usual, it is anticipated the use of the crane during normal operation hours will be minimal. While the details of the overlay itself were not announced, it is expected to mostly (if not entirely) consist of Christmas Lights."
This sounds great! Now maybe the castle will match the holiday ornament they sell in Disney's Days of Christmas....
:D
Thanks Jason!! :mickey:

Another crane?!?!?! I'm sick of the cranes!! When we went in October there was a crane visible the entire time next to the castle so all the pictures were kind of messed up. Why oh why do they have to do this? We're arriving on the 16th, just after it will have started. In January we didn't have many blue skies so the pictures weren't the best. In May/June I got some great castle pictures but I would have taken more if I had known the September pictures were be crane including. This stinks!
Thanks for all the updates. I am glad we get to be well informed about everything.
**Updated**
The beach campfire and movie sounds like it could be fun.
Rustin Allison
The new entertainment to MGM sounds nice but they need to start adding and theming new rides to the park to bring in crowds again like Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
Does anyone know if Playhouse Disney show will be closed for any period? I would hate if that was closed for our trip at the end of November. My kids LOVE Playhouse Disney and it's one of the things we are looking forward to taking them to.
so RnR will b down when im there? good thing i got on it via the singles line a few wks ago.
thanks for the updates
JoJo is already a part of Playhouse Disney Live On Stage.Quote:

If it was at our own resort I think that tune would have played a lot differently. I hope this continues since we'll be back at the Beach Club in 2009.
What's the Block Party Bash? Should I know what this is? We both really like the MGM parade, I hope it's as good.
Thanks

wow. looks like I'm gonna be one busy tech.
something in the ABC theater!? I had to read that one twice. Nothing permanent has been in there since 2001! In ABC theater left or right for that matter.
And a rehab at mermaid....it's about time
Between DW and I, our favorite rides at WDW are SE, RnRC and ToT. Now in September SE and RnRC will be closed, and ToT crowds will likely increase due to the RnRC closure. This is bad enough that if we could move the trip we would, but now it's pretty much too late...
Say it ain't so! We are already going to miss SE this trip, and now this? Probably not a big deal for people who live close and can make multiple trips per year, but Disney is a once a year (at best) trip for us. This bites:mad: There should be a Disney rule that they can only have one major attraction closed at any given time....Quote:
Rockn' Rehab
6/26/07 Attraction Cast have reported that Rockn' Roller Coaster is tentatively scheduled for a month long rehab Fall 2007. The attraction is tentatively scheduled to be closed for an operation refurbishment from Early September through Early October 2007.
Well thank heavens for the Playhouse Disney upgrade.
Our last trip I took my 2 year old by there and we were looking up at the billboard when a cast member approached us and asked if we were going in. I said - What about JoJo? She said Nope. Um, Sprites? Nope. Mickey? Nope sorry.
With the exception of Pooh, my daughter had not seen any of the shows they were playing. Ofcourse she will be too old for it when we go back probably!
Any rumors about what's going in the ABC Theater? Any possibility of Cinemagique?
I love your column, Figment! :mickey:
