Just got back a couple of days ago. The castle is STUNNING!! The main color changes and it is absolutely amazing. I just kept starring at it.
I am so excited for all of you who are going and get to see it.
I agree 1000%, We just returned yesterday and were there the night that it was lit. It was breathtaking. You could not take your eyes off of it. We made sure that we rode TTA so we could make that turn from Buzz and get that view as well. Also, the fireworks associated with MVMCP are out of this world (not Disney) as well.
It was very difficult to leave, but we will be making plans for our next visit very soon.
Happy Thanksgiving to all fellow Intercot enthusiasts!:turkey:
This is so exciting! This is my first year being at WDW during the holidays (I've been there marathon week before and just missed the lights, etc).
Nov 25-Dec 1! I can't wait!
Thanks for the update!
**Update**
We just came back from our trip and the castle lights were one of the true highlights. The photos are wonderful, but seeing it in person is just amazing. On the first night we were at MK, the 14th, the lights came on at dusk and absolutely everyone in the park with a view of the castle was stopping in their tracks and taking pictures. People were literally tripping over themselves as they turned their heads to stare. With the "goodnight kiss" lighting added in, it's even more beautiful. On the second evening we were there, we realized that certain sections of the lights were set to gradually fade in and out ever so slightly, so the castle as a whole has a very dreamy, shimmery look.
We also witnessed the castle lights being integrated into existing shows. Towards the end of Wishes, they light the castle up again (having turned the lights off for the show's start) as a cascade from top to bottom, and it's a great effect. We also caught a "Dream Along With Mickey" show after dark and the castle is lit up towards the end of that as well.
Thanks!
Thanks for the updated info Jason!
