YES, YES, YES! I would go every chance I had! :mickey:
If I could spend at least 4 hrs., yes definitely
Definitely! My DW would be disappointed if I didn't. I know that she would go if work took her close enough.
I would for sure go. I am from the Chicago area and found I will be working in Charlotte from Sept - Jan. I already have a grown ups only trip for end of Sept and now trying to figure how long the drive would be from NC if I were to be able to get there on my own for some time!
in a heatbeat. There are always memories to be made!!!
I'd go in a heartbeat. At least to WDW for dinner. If I had half a day to kill, I'd be in the parks. Cost wouldn't be an issue - because I keep a 1 day park hopper on me for "a rainy day" :mickey:
If I was already in the vicinity, definitely! But I'm not sure if I'd have such a great time w/out my family. I think WDW is so much better if you have at least one other person to share it with. :cloud9:
I'd spend as much time in the parks as I could! My kids would be sad they couldn't be there, but they'd think I was crazy if I didn't go.
If I was that close, I'd spend as much time as I reasonably could in the parks.
I have been down there 2 times for business ( one at CR and the other at Swan)
I went tot he parks both times- it was different and YES i did miss having my kids there, but i also got to do some things i normally wouldnt with them, i also got to go at my own pace. ( i walk fast:)
Oh i definitely had to buy some souveniers, because the family was mad- but they got over it.
It wouldn't be the same without my DH and DS but that would not stop me in anyway from enjoying an opportunity to hit the parks. I could envision what I would go on, what shops I would hit, what food I would eat.
I've been to WDW with just the DH and it was not the same without DS (who was only 18 months at the time but every child reminded me of him) so I know that going solo would be a very different experience...but one I know I would still enjoy.
I wen to Anaheim with a friend a couple of years back. She had gone on a trip for a day, and I headed to Disneyland for the day! I'd do it at the World too :mickey:
Definitely - did it last Oct. and doing it again Oct. 2008. I'll be going down a day early, spending one night at Pop before checking in to my conference hotel the next evening. I plan to use DME to get there and with one overnight spend 2 days in the parks, probably EPCOT and HS using discounted conference tickets ($143 for 2-day standard MYW ticket).
Going to the parks w/o family is not as much fun, but still worthwhile, and I get to taste beers at the Wine & Food Fest and send those wacky emails from Mission Space! On another off-night I'm sure I'll be going to DTD as well, while conference program also includes a night at Universal City Walk. Conference? What conference?? :mickey:
89 days an counting!!
Most defintely!!!:mickey:
I'd do it, and my family at home probably wouldn't care. My boss would probably mind, though. But really, I can't imagine going on a business trip somewhere even semi-exciting and not seeing the sites. For example, I just went to St. Louis for a conference and snuck out of one of my sessions to go to the top of the arch--alone!!
In a heartbeat. No question. :mickey:
I might even try to get over there if I were down in Tampa on business. I work a lot with various market teams for my company, so I need to make good friends with my Floridan coworkers.
