Hi Everyone,

We are heading to The World in early February. We are debating on Parasailing. Has anyone done this at Walt Disney World. If so, would you recommend it?

Thanks,

Kristen

I've never parasailed, but my parents have in Cancun, Mexico. They said it was spectacular! They're even considering doing it in Disney on our upcoming trip. So I guess it must be pretty cool! ;)

Over in Info Central (http://www.intercot.com/infocentral/recreation/parasailing.asp) there's the basic information (cost, place, etc) Good luck! smile.gif

I haven't ever done this either, but I did a quick search of the trip reports forum and found this excerpt:

Parasailing was awesome!!!! I think I would have been too scared to do it by myself but it was a lot of fun with 2 of us. We were so high, it was kinda like a roller coaster but with nothing around you. You sit on this very wide strap and there is one around your back so you can let go and just sit there floating in the air! It took me a while to let go and hold my arms out like a plane!! I felt like a little kid but it was great! I think the best part was that you go barefoot. It's just unexplainable, you feel so carefree and flying!!!!! The fun part is when they let you drift down and then the wind grabs hold of the sail and you fly back up! It was great!! I'm really glad I did it because I'm not supper adventurous, like I could never go skydiving. I really loved this!! The pictures turned out kinda funny, just 2 pairs of legs and arms!Hope this helps! :D

Now, I can't wait to do it. It just went to the top of my MUST DO list.

Thanks for the information!

We did it last December. We had the Deluxe Magic package, so the cost didn't apply to us. The experience was good, but not as exciting as I had hoped. You go very high up, but you don't stay up very long. If it is something you want to try, this would be the place to try it, since Sammy DuVall's is used to catering to families-they aren't as daredevilish as the companies at the beaches near here or in Mexico.
I am afraid of heights, and I was fine! graemlins/thumbsup.gif
