Free Theme Park parking before check-in?

We're flying down to Orlando early on Friday, and we are grabbing a rental car and driving straight to the Magic Kingdom. We won't get to our hotel until after dinner. We have started the check-in process online, but will that count towards letting us park for free at the MK? Or will we have to pay for Friday since we won't have finished checking in yet?

As long as you have a room booked for that day and can show it in the app - you should be good to get in parking free.
