Has anyone every cruised out of Miami? We have a Disney Dream sailing in August, and it seems to be much more complicated than Port Canaveral, or Tampa.

Can anyone give me the scoop? We're driving, so parking is what is worrying me most ... any tips?

We did a non Disney cruise out of Miami in 2018 and drove to the port as well. For us being seasoned Port Canaveral cruisers, it was a bit of a shock as to how big the port actually is. It sure is a very busy port, my parents got lost even when we were waving at them as they drove by us! :) Parking, we found was very easy and the directions from Google maps put us exactly where we wanted to go. The parking lot was directly in front of the cruise terminal we were sailing out of, it couldn't have been easier. It is even closer to the terminal that at Port Canaveral. So parking was not an issue. We were in our car and on our way 5 minutes after walking out of the terminal.

Returned to Port of Miami on DCL Dream on Christmas Eve. Getting to the port was a NIGHTMARE on 12/19 -- tons of construction and the tunnel was closed. 5-lane roads down to one or two at most, redirected through the cargo side of the port. It wasn't a big deal, just took a long time. Parking was easy peasy and getting out wasn't bad - the exit roads were much clearer and the tunnel was open on the return side. All of that said, I'm not in a hurry to go back to Miami. The port is probably OK most of the time but getting through downtown Miami to get TO it is no fun!
