Is anyone visiting WDW this coming weekend or in the first week of June that would be willing to give an update on the status of the parks and resorts? I've seen the posts on DPB as well and other sites, outlets and social media, but I'm curious how the experience is/was from one of our own.

We are headed down for the first time since 2019 for a week right in the middle of June so for me it would be great to get a preview. We had neighbors who went to WDW and Universal over Easter and they said Disney really had "their stuff" together over Universal. However I was hoping for a more current take, especially in light of the most recent CDC guidance.

We have no expectations and are just happy to be able to get away as a family again. Thanks!

We didn't stay at Disney World but we did visit Animal Kingdom one day last week which was our first visit since they ended temperature checks and began to allow visitors to walk around outdoor spaces without masks. They are now parking cars in every space in the parking lot rather than every other space. We walked from the parking lot without masks on. Entry into the park was very quick as they are only physically searching bags if you beef going through the detectors. While in the park, we were able to wander about without our masks and did so while going through the Discovery Island and Gorilla Trains as well as along other public paths. Masks were required as we entered the covered area of the line for the Safari, while on the train to Conservation Station and within the building there, and also while viewing the bird show. They were still distancing folks sitting in the arena for the bird show and on the train to and from Conservation Station. Every row is being filled on the Safari but only with members of one party - our party of two had a row to ourselves. While we practically walked onto the Safari right at park opening, the line quickly got much longer and, at times was over one hour (There are no fastpasses). There were plenty of people in the park and the more popular attractions often have wait times of 45 minutes or more. Hope this helps!!
