Recommendations for best masks at parks

Hello,

My 5 year old son and I are about 2 weeks out from our trip. I was hoping for some insight on what type of mask people are finding most useful.

Looking for comfort in the heat. I do plan on having several available per day to swap out, but was just curious what seemed to work and be most comfortable for others.

That said, it's a great question. Especially when the heat and humidity ramps up in Florida. That said the cloth ones seem to be the worst in terms of keeping heat in. Disposable ones probably would be good in the parks and seem to allow you to breathe most normally - though aren't the most fashionable ;)

I say, do the sunglasses test. If you are wearing the mask and a pair of sunglasses, and they fog up too much - that's not a keeper.

Others may have better advice. I'd say some of the gaiter ones that are microfiber - but disney doesn't allow them.

We have spend a LOT of time in the parks since last summer and it's a tough call. I think it kind of depends on if you are wanting the mask for protection or just to meet Disney's requirements. A lot of people find the disposable blue and white paper style masks to be the easiest to wear but personally I don't. I think they get sweaty very easy. I like masks from a company called Park Candy. They are two layers but of a very very thin fabric and I like to adjust them super big but just enough so they stay on my nose. They have a built in metal piece. If you are more concerned with protection you can add a filter in them but personally we don't.

I tried the blue paper one last week to test it out - personally I did not like it - so going back to my cloth ones

I am going in January of next year and hoping against hope that the mask mandate will be gone. In any event, I have two two-ply asks with filters that I will be taking along as well as a number of the 'paper' masks to get me through the days.
