The following are the new Guidelines for the Park Hopper option that became available at the start of 2021:

Complimentary bus transportation is available to travel between Theme Parks.

To board a 'Park Hopper' bus, Guests must have a valid ticket or annual pass with park hopper benefits for the day of use.

A Cast Member will verify each Guest's ticket or annual pass validity prior to permitting boarding.

Guests must use their existing Disney Park Pass reservation for the current day by entering the designated theme park prior to using their Park Hopper benefit.

The Park Hopper benefit is subject to Theme Park capacity limitations each day. Attendance continues to be managed in a way that fosters physical distancing.

I wonder if there is a way to tell if the park is full or not before you get there. It would be a bummer to spend all that time on the bus just to be told you can't get in.

Based on limited Guest reports, it appears that you scan your MagicBand prior to being permitted to load the designated bus for each park.

I would expect they are "counting" Guests at that point to avoid them arriving and then not being allowed to enter.

If you are not arriving by the "Park Hopper" bus, you certainly seem to run the risk of arriving and then not being allowed in.

Disney says it's maintaining social distancing in it's parks. Maybe in lines and restaurants that's true, but I've been watching the various live streams from the parks since they reopened and what I've seen is a steady decline in discipline from both guests & CM's when it comes to social distancing despite the rules in place and frequent reminder announcements.

When the parks initially reopened, I was pretty comfortable with the rules & the way people were abiding by them. Not so much anymore. Lots of choke points for crowds to congest in, 6ft. distancing being loosely enforced by CM's, and not followed by many guests, rare but blatant disregard for masking, etc. All this, while Disney keeps bumping up capacities to add more $$ to their bottom line.

Don't get me wrong - I really wish I could visit, but I'll put my safety over having a good time at WDW. Disney should study what they're doing very, very closely before (again) putting profit margin over guest safety. It'll only take one infection outbreak tied to them to sully their reputation for years. Please Disney, set the bar for this as high as you do for other projects.

(Oh, and bring back Horizons too!);)
