I don't have any information, but when we were there a couple weeks ago, the CM's did not seem hopeful that it would return.
I would say with all the changes that are happening, and having to "control" the crowds even more, that you are probably looking at the middle or end of next year, if that. But that is just a guess.

There have (so far) been no good indications when New Passports will be available again for sale. :(

Current Passports continue to be eligible for renewal.
