Seven Rules of Life.

Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

What others think of you is none of your business.

Time heals almost everything, give it time.

Don't compare your life to others and don't judge them. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

Stop thinking too much, it's alright not to know the answers. They will come to you when you least expect it.

No one is in charge of your happiness, except you.

Smile. You don't own all the problems in the world.

And I added number eight...Think Positive.

Life means to have something definite to do—a mission to fulfilled—and in the measure in which we avoid setting our life to something, we make it empty. Human life, by its very nature, has to be dedicated to something. - Jose Ortega y Gasset

Upon retirement my life is set upon my granddaughters! After all that I’ve done as teacher, guidance counselor, Asst Principal, Softball and Football Coach, I believe being a good Grandpa to my two granddaughters will be my most important achievement! They sure prevent an “empty” life.

When You Go Home, Tell Them Of Us And Say,

For Your Tomorrow, We Gave Our Today.

The verse is attributed to John Maxwell Edmonds (1875–1958), and is thought to have been inspired by the epitaph written by Simonides to honour the Greek who fell at the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC.
