Does anyone know? We're taking a small trip in December, and have a trip planned for late May (and hoping there's a COVID vaccine by then). So, it makes much more sense to have APs for those of us who will be going twice.

I contacted DVC, and they said that they could not tell me anything other than to keep checking back for updates as they happen.

Currently, when I go to the Disney site to ask about this, all I receive is a message saying "Someone ate the page" so I'm not sure what they are doing with upgrade requests.

It seems to me that we need to see what dynamics will be in the fall-winter, and then make some predictions. Now it is not known what kind of madness will begin when it gets colder. I want to believe in the best, but still mentally prepare for the worst.

I flat out asked a DVC specialist over chat, and all they could say is that they couldn't tell me whether it was being offered or not. I don't know if that meant that she didn't know, or if she did know but couldn't say anything.

I think AP can be gotten. i have some 5 day hoppers i had gotten for a cancelled trip w relatives. they have extended the expiration until Sept 2021 so I am planning on using mine in a few weeks on a solo trip and upgrading to an AP to use next year also

Nope. I recently called and talked to customer service for a different reason, and asked this question. They said that currently there are no AP sales OR upgrades. Now, that could all change between now and our Dec. vacation, which we're hoping for. Because the difference for us between upgrading our two children's tickets to APs vs buying whole tickets for the May trip would be at least $1000. Not happy about that.

I hope this gets sorted out soon. We wanted to upgrade at least one of ours because (fingers crossed) we want to come back in the summer after our upcoming Thanksgiving trip.
