Tell me about your experience at the is event. The good, the bad and the ugly :mickey:

I went for the first time last year. It was a lot of fun. I loved the character Meet & Greets. I met Elvis Stitch, Winnie the Pooh and Friends, princesses and their princes, and several others. We trick or treated all over. Came home with a ton of candy. The stage show was great as was the fireworks! I will go again if I am there while it is going on. Going to miss it this year not going again until November

Hallowishes was amazing, but they are getting rid of it. :(
The halloween party parade is my favorite. It's pretty awesome to see the headless horseman trot down
Main Street.
The crowds are smaller.
The lines for the rides are smaller for most rides. The Haunted Mansion line gets ridiculously long though.
The theming for everything is amazing.
You can trick or treat if you like candy.
They have special photo opportunities (like in front of Cinderella's Carriage, with the three hitchhiking ghosts, with the headless horseman, with a ghost pulling the "hearse" in front of Haunted Mansion, etc).
Some characters you can't see otherwise are out for photos (like the Nightmare Before Christmas characters)
You will be singing Boo To You for a long time afterwards.

Cons
They have scaled back some of their offerings while raising the price.
There are really, really long lines for the special characters, photo opportunities, etc and you can't use fastpasses for them.
Hallowishes is gone.
They have shortened the parade quite a bit.

I haven't done this party for quite a few years as it began to feel that the price was getting too high for this special event. I always enjoyed it when I went. Typically, we would not do the rides but, instead, focused on seeing the shows, parades and fireworks - we would also get in some trick or treating!!!

Other than current prices, I wouldn't have anything negative to say about it.
