New Theme Park is Coming to Universal Orlando Resort!!!

Comcast, last week, announced the 3rd, though they say 4th, theme park... No park theme or plans were revealed obviously... but rumors began to swirl... Now we wait for a much more detailed official announcement... We're off to the races folks!!!!

It's certainly not the worst name ever, but doesn't resonate with me yet. If that's really the name, once they announce what will actually be in this park, it may make more sense!

Universal has copyrighted several possible names... Many speculate, due to the copyrights, that the new park will have EPIC in it... Epic Worlds??? Epic Journey??? Epic Adventure (too much like Islands of Adventure).... Epic Fantasy????

None but I wouldn't doubt if Fantastic Beats has a land... Think they can do a 3rd park and NOT have Harry Potter in there somehow??? It is their bread and butter right now...

Land prepping has begun... Grand breaking could happen in 2019... Looking like a possible opening in 2022, 2023 time frame...

Honestly, I wouldn't doubt if we hear something, oh, say, sometime next year... Late fall... After a certain land down I4 opens....

Got it! ;) Just curious, would you rather go to one HP park or do you like that Universal has HP at every park? Sure, Disney has some franchises with attractions at multiple parks (Toy Story and the Little Mermaid to name a few), but I was just curious. My guess is that they'd rather spread the crowds, but it might be cool to have an entirely themed park (a la the rumored Disney Villian's park - don't get me started, I'm sure they're not opening a fifth gate anytime soon).

I have no issue with HP being in two, and more than likely 3 parks... The lands fit in both parks... And they wanted to create that world... So Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley had to be separate... Plus, we got the Hogwarts Express!!!! No issues at all...

With Disney, well, I do sort of hate how they have the same IPs in each park... For one, I believe in theme... The IP should fit the theme of the land/park you are putting it into... Monsters Inc in Tomorrowland does not belong... Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin fits better, with the space theme... But still, do we need that attraction anymore?? TSMM is better, light years better... Do we need the Little Mermaid stage show in DHS now that the attraction is open in MK???

I just hope they don't over saturate us with Star Wars in all Disney parks now... Let's leave it in DHS where it belongs, and let's not put, say DAGOBAH into Animal Kingdom....

Maybe I need to start a post in a Disney thread, maybe THEME PARKS??? regarding destruction of theme for the sake of fitting in IP just because....

I think Universal concedes to Star Wars land next year... But with the new park, you are looking at 2022 at the earliest... I guess time tables can move up, but usually they fall back.... The inevitable delay happens...

Universal's Fantastic Worlds will be HUGE.... And looks like flat level parking instead of garage parking... Weird, but that is what current blue prints show...
