Ok Disney experts. I need a dining/parking suggestion. The fam and I are in Animal Kingdom tomorrow, but have reservations at O’hana that evening. We are planning to go to the MK fireworks after. Anyone know if the Poly would have any issue with us parking there for the evening? We are staying off property. Thanks!

Unless it's changed, there is a 3-hour limit for non-guest parking at a resort with dinner reservations.

Park your car at the TTC and monorail to the Poly then to the MK. Then you can get back to the TTC when MK closes. There is an issue at the Poly with guests doing what you are suggesting, parking there while they go to the parks. This causes a parking shortage for those who are actually staying there. Nothing worse than coming back to your resort and having to pay to valet because there are no available spots.

This is why Disney has the 3 hour parking rule, which has not always been enforced very well. Not sure if they have gotten stricter since the new parking fees have come into play.

Another option is to valet your car at the Poly. Then you can leave it as long as you want. There is no 3 hour time limit if you valet.

Hopefully, not responding too late! I would suggest walking from the TTC to the Poly if you can. Otherwise, I believe you have to go through the TTC security line, which may take quite a bit of time. If you walk to the Poly, have dinner, and then board the monorail there for MK you will go through the security at the Poly before boarding the monorail, which is super fast.

This is what we'd do..... If you're going to pay to park, I'd rather valet at Poly than pay to park at MK/TTC.

All great suggestions! I think I’m going to just repark at the TTC and walk over to the Poly. We hit Avatar early this morning (Btw it’s awesome!!!!), so we already had to pay for parking the AK. Although I must say the valet option has certainly peaked my interest. I might try it, but it will depend on my spending mood at the time. ;)

Thanks!

Those fees certainly add up!!! But valeting at the resorts for what you want to do, dinner and an evening in MK, is definitely worth the cost! But there comes a point in my Disney trip where I just can't stomach to spend any more! LOL. So I get it.

I know what you mean, nickel n dime us to death !! hahaha ..... funny tho, the last time I was over at the Poly, parking myself for dinner, I somehow got into the valet area .... I realized it pretty quick and was exiting the area when a CM started to chase my car .. seriously .... I suppose he was thinking I was trying to illegally park .... my kids still laugh about it ....
