I'm sitting while the kids play, they are having a ball. We had an easy flight and enjoyed lunch at Bahama Breeze before checking in at around 3:30 pm. The kids have met three cultural representatives so far who have been wonderful to talk with, signing our picture book and teaching us lots of new words! Our older son says that "they are better than characters because they are real and are from real places!" Lol. The spread in the club lounge was beautiful and delicious. I enjoyed the African red wine and the boys devoured the PBJ crustables. We made Smores, admired the animals and are settling in. My DH is icing his foot - mercifully we are close to the ice machine. Our plan for tomorrow is Animal Kingdom. Will try to keep the pace slow.

I didn't realize AKL had a playground. I will have to keep that in mind for when we are there. Sounds like you are having a nice, relaxing time.

Thank you! I am so glad we chose this resort. I wasn't certain because of the darker ambiance but it is very cozy and inviting. There are so many great activities. Last night after the playground we ended up running into a drum circle for kids and the boys really had fun, playing music and dancing with the other kids. With DH struggling with hi a sprained foot it is nice to be doing what I need to do for the family in the room while looking out at the Savannah. There is something very peaceful about the view, it ma kes me feel like we are still enjoying vacation even when not "doing" anything. The lobby can be seen to the right of our window which is pretty neat. Waking up this morning my younger son immediately wanted to look out for animals and the waking up African morning music could be heard with an open sliding door. It was very nice!
