Oh, poor you...not a way to spend your vacation.

The participating hotels can be found here (http://www.intercot.com/discussion/showthread.php?216866-Fall-2018-Free-Dining-Announced)

Hence the title "Free Dinning" is a misnomer. There is nothing free about the experience just a re-allocation of your money under the guise of Free.

Many people love the convenience of it. We've done it several times many years ago,(through the amazing Magical Journeys), when it really was a value, but the price has increased soooooo much and the requirements have gone up so drastically that it's not a value option for us any more. However, Magical Journeys is ALWAYS a value option with Concierge service!

Please remind me, if you already have a package booked, you have to cancel that one and completely re-book, right? They can't just add it on to your existing reservation? Thanks!

You don’t have to rebook. As long as there is availability, you can have the free dining added to your existing reservation.

So, wow, I just have to share here. Originally, I was expecting to have to cancel and re-book our whole trip, and hope that all of our dining reservations transferred smoothly. Thanks to Karen, I went to the WDW site and tried the chat option. I expected to be told that I'd have to call to switch our package over and I honestly would rather eat glass than spend three hours on the phone for a simple change - which has been my experience in the past. I was delighted when the cast member on the chat gave me just three steps to change the package online - and it worked!!

One of the things I love about Magical Journeys...The wonderful people there take care of all of that for you. Sometimes before you even know the offer is out there!!!

I had no idea you could make that change online. That's VERY interesting.

However, if you're using Magical Journeys, that's the most convenient of all as they handle all your details. :)

I was out of town when the offer was released. I'm going to look into some options for the late November check in, however am now very disappointed as I see from the OP that Riverside is excluded from this offer. Family of 5 here, so unless maybe I get lucky and get CBR, which I don't particularly want, then I'm basically forced into a deluxe accommodation, or AoA suite? Suddenly I'm not liking my odds so much of going down this year during the holidays. :(

Your other options are All Star Family Suites and Fort Wilderness Cabins. Good luck! Let us know how you make out.

Based on my preliminary Disney search, this special offering should be renamed "Resort not included with special promotion". CBR is the only viable option right now, and that isn't exactly causing me to jump for joy. I may contact my MJ agent though and book tentative dates, will have to see.

I've heard nothing but wonderful things about MJ! I've thought of using them, but I'm one of those weird people who actually like booking myself. Unless I have to call. I try to avoid that like the plague. I tell everyone I know who's booking a trip about MJ and how highly recommended they come. I hope I've sent a little business their way over the years. :mickey:

I saw in a Disney e-newsletter that this offer for booking has been extended to August 1. But, from doing a couple searches around preferred dates, I'll go with my initial response that this offer should be renamed "This Resort is not eligible for this special offer" offer. Intersting that they extended the booking window, although maybe they can do that knowing nothing is available.

Can someone from MJ send me a message through here? I sent a question to the guestservice general Magic Journeys email address about a week and a half ago and have not received a response yet.

Did you check your SPAM folder? Or maybe they are blocked for some reason. MJ generally replies within the same business day, but more often than not, within an hour or so.
