If this has been discussed recently, please re-direct me .... Has anyone been there lately? How is it with all the construction and has the food court re-opened? Thanks one and all !! :mickey:

I was there a month or so ago - no, the food court has not reopened, but to me, that was not a deal breaker. They have a huge enclosed tent (large building size) that houses a buffet that was delicious each time we tried it, it was wonderfully air conditioned . There was also 4 or 5 food trucks offering food if you did not want the buffet and you could take your food from those trucks into the tent. They also had a truck that was actually a full service bar ( I do not drink, but the people who did seemed to be able to get whatever they tried to order). They also had "mini" food court offerings in each section - albeit all premade food, but it was still a good deal when we decided we just wanted to get some sandwiches one day. The construction was there - however, but it did not bother us at all, as we were gone most of the time, and the day we did stay in the rooms (granddaughter not feeling 100%), we heard NOTHING. I noticed the rooms are discounted a lot, and it makes it even a better deal - pool was still open, and lots of people were in it when we went. The food area is right by that main pool.

When will the food court reopen? Anyone know?

And what about the main pool, any opening date for that?

I called the resort and they indicated to me the food court and main pool was slated to re-open at the end of July. We will be there June 24th, so hopefully they will re-open ahead of schedule.

I heard they lost power there, for 8 hrs, earlier this week.. Because of the construction.

Now that stinks !! I am still very excited to go there tho. Our party has grown and it's been awhile since we've been able to afford a Moderate. I'd much rather stay at the FQ .... maybe someday !! Hopefully the main pool re-opens before we get there, the food court, I'm not that concerned over.

Since you'll be staying in a construction zone, FYI you can get hard hats at Home Depot for 10/20 bucks. Maybe buy some stickers and make them more disney.

I was hoping they'd provide those ... but I do like the idea of making mine more personal. Maybe I will deck it out the Star Wars stickers .... may the safety equipment be with me ....

What do you mean by the main pool? The pool area @ Fuentes del Morro was open when we stayed at CBR for 2 nights last week (as we had to extend our stay due to weather in NE and had to relocate from POR)

I had read that the food court and main pool area was under renovations ... since your recent visit how was it ?? Obviously the main pool is open and the food court ?? Open ??

Main Pool Open. Food Court still closed and under major renovation. They have the temporary food hall in place with buffet offerings and food truck offerings.

I want to go and dress as Hawkeye and Trapper.

Did not know they were redoing this resort. We stayed here in fall of 2016 and liked it but I would love to go look at it when we go back to see the changes. Hope they still have the mango tart!!! MMMMMM YUMMY!!!
