We will have reservation for 3 of us. Myself, my husband and my 19 year old daughter. Can my 19 year old daughter check in a day earlier?

18 is the minimum age to check-in. As long as she's on the reservation for the day of check-in, she can go ahead and do it.

With online check-in, does it even matter? If all the information is completed in advance, it seems like your daughter could get the text, go right to the room, and use her MB to get into the room whether you're there or not.

Won't she have to have the matching credit card for the hotel reservation?

as long as you do on line check in, you do not even need to bring your credit card. I've never shown mine. I check in 60 days in advance, and show up, spend way too much money, and then the last day i receive my bill and think there's no way i spent that much money!!
