We are traveling in early May to WDW for the first time since our little one was diagnosed with Type I diabetes over 2 years ago. I am thinking of signing up for a TSA escort to survive the airport security. Any tips appreciated, I can't tell you how nervous I am about traveling. But what I am really posting about is whether there are going to be any issues with security at the parks. We carry around needles in case his pump breaks and he is wearing his pump and sensor that can set off metal detectors. Will feel less anxious if I know whether we need to be prepared to tell security about these things. Thank you in advance for any advice.

Security is easy at the parks. I'm t2d insulin dependent. I have no problem bringing my supplies with me. I had a cgm and it didn't set off the detector. If you have any concerns let them know. They can always use the wand. Most times I never am directed to the detectors as they are random. You should not have any problems. Have fun!

Thank you so much for your reply. Do you tell them about your supplies during the bag check? If not necessary I don't want to slow things down for others behind us.

No, I don't mention it any more. They are so used to seeing medical supplies. I had more problems bringing in a zip tie than anything else. Lol

I guess the ideal scenario is to work with some customs brokers (https://w2c.ca/en/industries/pharmaceutics/) that specialize in medical supplies.
