Off to HS this morning - main goal is to ride the ol' GMR one more time as this is the last day. Always enjoyed the ride, kind of what the park represents, or used to. Got on RnRC, ToT 3x, TSM and then GMR....at the end I told the CM on board she did a great job and asked how long she has been a part of the ride....3 1/2 years! She seemed sad. Oh well, change not a bad thing and hopefully the new Mickey/Minnie railway ride will be a good one. My younger DS wanted the limited edition Last Day shirt but they were sold out. And older DS stayed behind sleeping off his cold.
Day 2 of our cabana rental. Just as good as the first! Hit up volcano pool, rode the slide a few times, getting too old for this stuff! We were going to do the Mickey speed boats but - and this comes from my older DS who loves to jump in those little boats and zip around - it was too hot! And he was right. I don't think there vwas one speedboat out there. Round 2 of laundry which you go through a lot of when you are sweating every 5 seconds....just sayin'. :mickey:
Back to Epcot at night. Last minute decision we dined at La Hacienda - first time. Really cool inside, right on the water....we decided to order and share several apps. Happily surprised! Personally I'm not a big Mexican eater but it was all really good. Then we hit up the Frozen ride. Full disclosure, I was always a big fan of the Maelstrom ride and was saddened to see it go AND yes, I have never seen the movie Frozen so with that in mind....it was OK. We also did SE, Soarin' (DW can't get enough of Soarin'), and Living With the Land - I only noticed it on this visit and we've done the Land ride a bunch....there are a bunch of hideden Mickeys in there! See how many you can spot next time through....I think the workers must get a little board in there!
